The Church of the Good Samaritan is an Episcopalian Church located at 212 West Lancaster Avenue in Paoli. It was in this church that Paoli 1 was created in 1911 by the Reverend Horace A. Walton, the Troop's first Scoutmaster. The Troop was not only founded by Walton in the Church of the Good Samaritan but the church was also Paoli 1's headquarters for the first few years of its existence until moving to Wayne in 1924.
Today the Church of the Good Samaritan is still a thriving Episcopalian community and the building itself has seen major renovations and expansions of the school, the church, and community center portions of the expansive building complex. The Troop's annual Family Dinner is still held at the Church of the Good Samaritan to this day, honoring the traditions and origins of the Troop.
